Today, we look at what exactly Hilton offers to its customers. After having talked about Marriott Bonvoy and Marriott Stars and Luminous, it is just logical to continue with Hilton which is the second largest hospitality company in the world after Marriott. Hilton operates 25 brands with 9000 locations in more than 140 countries, while Marriott has over 30 brands with more than 9700 hotels in 143 countries. Most of you will know Hilton Honors, while Hilton for Luxury and Hilton for Business will probably be something new for many of our readers.

Hilton Honors
At the beginning of 2026, Hilton gave its customer loyalty program a facelift. The hurdles for reaching certain status levels were lowered, and a new status was introduced, closely resembling Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador. But what are the current status levels, and how can you achieve them?
When registering with Hilton Honors, you start at the Member level, you can earn 10 base points per USD spent and book your stays at member rates. When checking in online in Hilton Honors app, you can select your preferred room directly in the app. This feature is currently pretty unique to Hilton.
Silver level
If you stay 4 times a year at Hilton hotels or spend 10 nights a year there (whatever you’ll achieve first), you qualify to the silver level. You surely can also reach the silver level by total spend of 2500 USD, but with the 4 stays or 10 nights you usually reach the silver level faster (unless you book luxury nights with the value of more than 250 USD per night). The silver level offers you
- 20% more base points,
- complimentary WiFi,
- late check-out,
- 2 bottles of water per stay and
- When booking a stay with your bonus points, each 5th night is offered for free (meaning you pay for 4 nights with your points, the 5th night is offered). You can have up to 4 free nights per stay (in other words, you can stay up to 20 nights per stay, and you pay for 16 nights only). Rewards stays count towards your status qualification as well.
Gold level
The benefits become more interesting by reaching the gold level. You can reach it when you stay 15 times or 25 nights in Hilton hotels in a year. The third option (reaching 6000 USD eligible spend in a year) is less attractive.
On the gold level you get all the benefits of the silver status, but also
- 80% bonus on base points
- You can select your “my way” benefits (vary from one brand to another within Hilton portfolio, but can include – as an example – a free breakfast for you and a second person in your room)
- Free upgrades up to executive rooms
- If you were upgraded to an executive room, you also get access to executive lounge
Diamond level
With 25 stays or 50 nights per year (or 11.500 USD on eligible spend) you reach the Diamond status. Diamond status was the highest publicly available level within the program until the end of 2025.
On top of all previous benefits it offered you
- A guaranteed access to the executive lounge (even if not upgraded to executive rooms)
- A free space available upgrade up to One-Bedroom Suites
- 100% bonus on base points
- Premium WiFI
- 48h reservation guarantee
Lifetime Diamond status
If you manage to have Diamond status for 10 years (non-consecutive) or spend in total more than and reach a total of 1000 nights or a total eligible spend of more than 200.000 USD in hotels of Hilton portfolio, you reach a lifetime Diamond status. It provides you with all benefits of Diamond status without any need of further requalification.
Diamond Reserve status
This is a new status introduced with the program changes at the beginning of 2026. In order to reach this status, you need to spend 40 stays or 80 nights AND have a total eligible spend in the same year of 18.000 USD.
The benefits of the Diamond Reserve status include on top of all above benefits
- 120% bonus points
- Guaranteed 4pm late checkout
- Exclusive Customer Service (via a special hotline)
- Premium Club access – though for the moment there are just few hotels having established Premium Clubs.
- Confirmable Upgrade Reward
Further benefits
Hilton Honors offers some other benefits, like milestone bonuses: once you reach 40 nights in a year, you’ll be credited 10.000 bonus points and with every further 10 nights you get additional 10.000 bonus points.
When reaching 60 nights in a year, you get 40.000 bonus points, and you can gift a gold status to someone else.
By reaching 100 nights, you can gift a Diamond status.
The most tangible benefits – in our view – are the free breakfast from the gold status onwards, upgrades up to executive rooms and suites, as well as access to the executive lounges.
However, in the course of the last years Hilton more and more deluded these benefits. The upgrades are offered very sparely, even if the rooms are still available in the booking mask. This is often explained by “operational needs”, “upgrade by one room category only” or any other excuses. Even tough on the official Hilton Honors website, it is clearly stated “if we have a better room available, it’s yours – up to One-Bedroom Suites”.
The evening service in executive lounges has been getting more and more poor in the last years as well. Surely, it depends on the geographic location of the hotel and its brand. But if you are travelling to Americas or Europe, do not expect too much from the lounge service in the evening. In some hotels, the service is heavily reduced to a bit of cheese, starter portions of salad and few fruits on the counter. In Middle East or Asia, however, you can still expect starters, a choice of 2-3 hot meals, a counter with a reach choice of deserts, a bar service directly in the lounge and more. And this is a suitable transition to
Hilton for Luxury
The Hilton for Luxury program is an exclusive preferred partner program for luxury travel agencies, offering elite benefits at participating Conrad, Waldorf Astoria, and LXR properties. The program replaced the former Hilton Impresario.
When booking via our partner, you get the following benefits independently from your status in Hilton Honors (you even do not need to be a member of Hilton Honors at all):
- Complimentary room upgrade, if available (at check-in)
- $100 USD or USD equivalent property credit, once per stay (conversion rate is determined by the hotel)
- Daily complimentary breakfast for 2 guests per day
- Priority for early check-in and late check-out, if available
- Double Hilton Honors Points
Your stays and nights do count towards your Hilton Honors status qualification. And you get property credit on top. If you hold a status level in Hilton Honors, it will be recognized and honored during your stay as well.
Hilton for Business
For small and medium businesses, Hilton offers a separate program named “Hilton for Business”.
If you run your own company and stay from time to time at Hilton hotels, it can be worth registering your business for this program and offering access to it to your partners or employees. For every 10 nights you and your registered partners or employees spend at Hilton brands, your company receives 5.000 points, which can be transferred to any registered person within your company account. These points come on top of each one individual bonus points within Hilton Honors participation.
Furthermore, you get access to more attractive exclusive rates which can be up to 18% cheaper than publicly available rates.
Participation does not require any minimum spend, minimum number of stays, or any subscription fees and is fully free for your business.
If you would like to optimize your travel programs and get the most out of them, do not hesitate to contact us and one of Singabiz’ representatives will be glad to assist you.
