Many clients ask us upfront how they should imagine their stay in Philippines when they arrive for the formalities on the ground? How will the process be? What to expect during their stay?
We know that navigating government paperwork in a new country can feel daunting, which is why our on-the-ground team handles the entire itinerary for you. Take a look at this step-by-step preview of how we guide you from airport arrival to permanent residency in less than a week. All activities listed below are already covered by your application fee. The application fee does not, however, include the flights.
Your Step-by-Step Arrival Schedule
Day 0 (Typically Sunday)
Touchdown & Airport Pickup
As soon as you clear customs at Manila airport, look out for our dedicated pickup service. Your driver will meet you directly at the arrivals terminal and take you straight to your hotel.
Check-In & Unwind
Head to your hotel accommodations, which have been fully arranged and coordinated by the Philippines FIV team. Get some rest, unpack, and settle in for the week ahead.
Day 1 (Typically Monday).
Paperwork & Medical Check:
We will guide you through the remaining in-person paperwork that couldn’t be handled remotely, followed by your quick, mandatory medical check.
Days 2-3 (Typically Tuesday and Wednesday)
Relax & Explore
While our team coordinates with government offices and finalizes your documents, you have some free time. Relax at your hotel or check out some local Manila sights. This processing window typically takes 1 to 2 days. (Attention! Your individual shopping or other free time activities are not covered by the application fee.)
Day 4 (Typically Thursday)
Official Visit to FAB:
We will transport you from your hotel to the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) office. Here, you will complete your final biometrics and take your official oath.
Day 5 (Typically Friday)
Visa & ACR-I Card Delivery:
The very next day, you will receive your final official paperwork and your permanent ACR-I Card (Alien Certificate of Registration).
Unlocking Total Freedom and Flexibility
Once that ACR-I card is in your hands, the Philippines is truly yours. You can head back to the airport to fly home, or you can begin your onward journey immediately. Because the FIV grants you full legal residency, you can stay as long as you like.
The Secret to a Perfect 5-Day Turnaround
To make this process as efficient as possible, our program is optimized around a Sunday arrival. This aligns perfectly with local government schedules, allowing our team to fast-track your paperwork so you can walk away with your permanent residency card by Friday afternoon. Many FIV residents have even received their ACR-I card by Thursday, but we keep Friday as an extra buffer just in case there are any issues along the way.
If you plan to open a bank account with your new permanent residency, you can find a lot of international banks in this CRS-free country. Just plan another 2-4 working days in Philippines for it and you would be leaving with a local bank account in one of the renowned banks.
